WHY IS THE AWARENESS OF PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLES IMPORTANT?
Do you feel that almost everything you know about your pelvic floor is that they are the muscles located at the bottom of your pelvis? You are not the only one!
However, pelvic muscles are muscles that are really important in various everyday functions and movements. They are located close to the center of our body and their good function can offer us a whole-body support, better balance, feeling of vitality and youthfulness.
Very often women only start paying attention to pelvic floor muscles, when it starts causing them problems. It is frequently happening that during workout women are activating just one part of pelvic floor muscles, or not connecting them to the whole movement system. Many exercises for pelvic floor are also not offering a holistic understanding of this complex system. In contrast, bringing attention and conscious awareness to this area during workout can offer you a better control of your own body.
BRINGING AWARENESS TO YOUR PELVIC FLOOR CAN CHANGE THE QUALITY OF YOUR MOVEMENT
I also had the same problem, as due to hard training, I had to constantly make sure that my bladder was not under too much pressure when I was laughing sneezing or running - or I would have a problem! At first, I was trying to find solution in Kegel exercises, however I didn’t really felt which part I am activating. I also activated them isolated, and not have learned how to integrate them in other movement.
When I became conscious awareness of this area, learned to activate the whole area and implement it in other movements as well, it all become a lot easier. And this is what I want for you as well!
There are different causes for insufficient use of pelvic floor muscles in the movement system, most usual being poor awareness of a specific parts of the muscles in the pelvic floor. A good understanding of activation and relaxation of different parts of the pelvic floor, as well as clear connection of pelvic floor muscles in the movement system can offer you amazing support in everyday movements and activities.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE WORKSHOP:
The lesson will take place via zoom. Therefore, it is ideal if you have a computer with adjustable camera function, but cell phone with camera function will work as well.
Space on the floor where you can lie down
A mat or blanket, that it is comfortable for you to lie on,
Warm and comfortable clothing. When you relax, you often get cold, so you can also prepare extra socks and a sweater,
A small cushion or towel that you can roll in a way to support your head comfortably, while you lie on your back or side.
PLACE AND TIME
For better understanding and taking as much as possible out of the workshop I recommend that you participate on both days, however if this is not possible you can also register for only one of the two days.
